Sam Biggerstaff is responsible for senior-level recruitment and business development at ABC4, with a specialist focus on Fraud, Insolvency, Recovery and Enforcement. He works closely with law firms to identify and secure high-calibre lawyers and teams operating in this complex and fast-moving area of practice.
He has developed deep insight into the Fraud and Insolvency market through long-standing relationships with partners and senior practitioners handling sophisticated, high-value disputes and investigations. This gives Sam a strong commercial understanding of how firms build, retain and grow successful practices in a highly competitive environment.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the legal profession, Sam advises firms on lateral partner hiring, team moves and succession planning. He supports leadership teams on market entry, expansion strategies and longer-term practice development.
Drawing on his background as a barristers’ clerk in a magic circle set of chambers, Sam offers a pragmatic, market-led perspective, combining detailed sector knowledge with trusted relationships and a clear understanding of client and firm expectations.
